We enjoyed a wonderful visit with our dear friends and collectors, Steve and Dianne Hulen and their precious little grandson, Colton. We were all blessed with a beautiful day weather wise. Coolness was in the air and the sky was that amazing blue that it turns in the fall. Little Colton & I enjoyed a walk around the yard discovering leaves and rocks while Wes and the Hulens visited. It’s amazing how exciting and new everything is to a little one in the young age of discovery. After visiting and catching up at the house, we enjoyed a nice lunch at a local restaurant, where Colton was the best entertainment. Following lunch, we headed down to the river to let Colton try his hand at throwing rocks in the river. He was most impressed when Wes would throw a larger rock, creating a great splash. We enjoyed the time together and the beautiful day, and so enjoy visits from friends and collectors.
We had our local bluegrass festival last weekend called The Old Timer’s festival. It was the biggest crowd we ever remember. We volunteered in our local library booth, where I took the money and Wes got covered in grease grilling burgers. Then we spent another couple of hours in the coke booth volunteering. With the large crowds, we didn’t get bored, that’s for sure.
I’ve posted two of my new miniature paintings. I painted them from photographs taken at the zoo in CA. They were great fun to do, as I was constantly laughing at them. Paintings like these are hard to let go since they make me smile so much!
Until next time ~ Rachelle
