Movers and Painters !

Wes and I were delighted to be featured recently in the 46th Annual Waterfowl Festival’s online newsletter “Painter Spotlight”! The article notes the excitement of seeing and experiencing our miniature paintings in person, and showcases several of our paintings including a personal favorite dog painting of mine “Gi’me Some Sugar“. To learn more about attending this wonderful show, which has raised $5.7 million for wildlife and habitat conservation, education and research over the past four decades, visit their website at 46th Annual Waterfowl Festival!
This past week has been a busy one for us both! We returned last evening after spending the past five days in Indiana helping Wes’ parents move to a smaller place. Wes, his two brothers and me, got everything moved and into new locations, including hanging most of the paintings on the walls! Needless to say, his parents were feeling much better about the stressful move by the end of our visit, and are hoping to enjoy a week of vacation here in the Smokies with us this October. Since we didn’t have internet access during that time, we’re still playing catch up, but alas we’re getting very close now!

I’m currently painting a miniature of my brother Marshall’s adorable Dachshund Roxie. As soon as he sent me this photo recently, I fell in love with it and knew I had to paint it, while immediately thinking of the title “The Seal Impersonator”! I’ll be sharing the finished painting with you next week, and will be taking it to our upcoming shows.
Wes is putting the finishing touches on his latest miniature landscape painting of a beautiful snow scene located inside the Great Smoky Mountains, which I’ll be sharing with you next week as well.
Until next time . . .
