Exquisite Miniatures And The Return of Winter!
by Rachelle Siegrist
Our Exquisite Miniatures exhibition recently opened at The Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs, located in Bonita Springs, FL. Our miniatures can be seen there through April 29th, so if you’re in the area, it’s a great opportunity to enjoy seeing them and this lovely venue in person!

We enjoyed a “false spring” this past week here in the Smokies, tricking not only us, but so many of the flowering trees and shrubs as well! Needless to say, several things are already blooming and even leafing out, so Wes and I took advantage of the beautiful, mild weather with a fun bike ride in Tremont this past Thursday. I’m also excited that the shrews are out and about, and sat watching them eat peanut crunchies one evening, but after remembering to take the camera the next time, the little stinkers stood me up! But alas our “false spring” is fleeting, as winter has returned with a vengeance and who knows what will happen this coming week, with predictions of very cold temps and even possible snow!

We’re delighted to have 4 of our paintings featured in and available for purchase through Collectors Covey’s Miniature Show and Sale 2017. This gorgeous gallery and sporting store is located in Dallas, TX. An integral part of their mission is their involvement with Texas Wildlife Conservation efforts, and since their inception, they have helped give back roughly $12,000,000 to these efforts! The Miniature Show and Sale will take place on Friday, March 24th, starting at 6:30 PM, with the drawing taking place at 8 PM. The show can be viewed online at Collectors Covey.

I recently finished another commissioned dog painting of a beautiful Yellow Lab named Max. I have to say I was totally relaxed the entire time I was painting this adorable boy, laying there sleeping so sweetly! We’re each still mostly painting on works for upcoming shows.
Until next time . . .
