Wishing You A Very Merry Christmas!

Mery Christmas!

By Rachelle Siegrist

Greetings from sunny South Florida . . . Wes and I are spending Christmas week with my family in Okeechobee! Leaving cloudy skies and cold weather behind, the blues skies and warm sunshine here are a delightful treat indeed! We’ve been enjoying playing and spending time outdoors with all of our nieces and nephews and are looking forward to making many more wonderful memories with everyone this coming week! I’ll be sharing photos and stories of our adventures this week with you next Sunday.

Our entire family celebrated Christmas on Saturday, when my sister and family could be here. As you can imagine, the kids had no problems with opening presents a day or two early, and even little Raelynn was happy to get in on the action!

Today several of us spent a couple of hours on Lake Okeechobee, and while the guys fished, we girls drew pictures and enjoyed the sunshine. Later that afternoon, the kids and I played badminton and took a couple of boat rides around the pond. Imagine our excitement, when we were able to get within 10 feet of a American Bittern, and watch as it caught and ate a fish! We decided that was a highlight of the day!

In the meantime, we want to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas, while celebrating Jesus, the reason for the season!
